Roy Voshell, a lifelong musician, began his career as a trumpeter at James Madison University performing in many of their top groups. From humble beginnings in Dover Delaware, he began traveling with multiple elite musical groups. After meeting his wife, both employed at Disney World, Roy furthered his passion for music and performing with multiple bands traveling across the west and basing out of Las Vegas. Most recently known for his part in Giant Steps, a local Delaware band of over 25 years, Roy continues to appreciate the ability to share his talents with friends, family, and new friends alike.
After spending time with his daughter Madeline and good friend Joey Todd doing gigs as acoustic duos since 2015 he also had been simultaneously performing as a solo act. Roy has performed in venues in Dover, Kennett Square PA, Middletown, Milton, Newark, Wilmington, Lewes and Rehoboth Beach Delaware and is always anxious for another chance to share his love of performing with others. His music includes a range of styles from the Avett Brothers, Chris Stapleton, Jack Johnson, James Taylor, John Mayer and many more. From old rock to blue-grassy tunes, Roy brings a warm, fun, easy listening style to each performance.
