Cancellation and Weather Policies for Tours & Cruises

Cape Water Tours & Taxi has a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy

These are the policies for our tours & cruises. For PRIVATE CHARTER policies, please click the “Charters” tab

POLICIES-PLEASE READ so you are aware of our policies. We will TEXT updates & announcements.

ASSIGNED SEATING: Sometimes we assign seats. If you would like to sit together, please make ONE reservation/booking in ONE name. We cannot take seating requests.

TO CANCEL: To cancel a reservation, click “CANCEL BOOKING” in your email confirmation or e-mail/call/text our receptionist. You may cancel up to 24 hours prior to departure for a refund.

TO RESCHEDULE: click “CHANGE BOOKING” in your email confirmation. You may reschedule up to 24 hours prior to departure.

TO ADD GUESTS TO AN EXISTING RESERVATION: Please do not make an additional reservation. Rather, text, email or call our office and we will adjust.

REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations made 24 HOURS prior to departure. For cancellations or reschedules LESS THAN 24 HOURS prior, there is no refund or reschedule unless we can rebook your seat(s).

TRAFFIC: PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR SEASONAL TRAFFIC -sometimes twice as long as your GPS says during the summer months. If you miss your scheduled departure, we cannot refund or reschedule. If you miss the boat please plan to make a new reservation. Check-in is 15-20 MINUTES PRIOR to departure.

NO SHOWS: If you or a portion of your party do not show for a scheduled tour there is no refund or reschedule. Please plan to make a new reservation.

WRONG DOCK: We have 3 departure ports. If you go to the wrong dock and miss your tour, there is no refund or reschedule. Please plan to make a new reservation.

RUNNING LATE: Please keep your phone on. The crew on duty will call if you are not there at boarding time.

WEATHER: Last minute cancellations happen. Our Captains monitor the ever-changing weather in our area. If we cancel because of weather, we TRY to do so at least an hour in advance (a weather radar is most accurate as close to departure time as possible). Our captains will make this decision, not the receptionists. Please DO NOT call/email/text our receptionist to inquire about the weather. We WILL TEXT IMMEDIATELY if we receive word from the captain about a cancellation. If we cancel because of weather you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. If you are concerned about weather and prefer not to “wait and see” you may click “cancel booking” in your reservation email confirmation up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund.

GRATUITY: Our crew works for tips!

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS: All our tours and cruises require a minimum number of passengers to run, which varies depending on which tour or cruise etc. If we do not meet our minimum, we will notify you via TEXT. If we cancel due to low capacity, you have the option to receive a full refund or reschedule for another tour or cruise.

Please know, we are just as disappointed as you are if we have to cancel for any reason. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
