Cancellation and Weather Policies for Tours & Cruises

Cape Water Tours & Taxi has a 24 Hour Cancellation Policy

CUSTOMER CANCELLATION –If you need to cancel, please call no less than 24 hours before your trip is scheduled to depart to receive a full refund.

NO SHOWS-If you or a portion of your party no show for a scheduled trip with no prior notification, there will be no rain check/refund as we often have a waiting list for our tours and cruises. Please plan for delayed travel due to seasonal traffic.

WEATHER –Since the safety and success of our business is weather dependent, our Captains are constantly monitoring the constantly changing weather conditions in our area. If inclement weather is forecasted, our Captains will be watching the radar. A weather radar is most accurately read as close to the departure time as possible. We have OFTEN seen a bad weather forecast turn good 1-2 hours prior to a cruise. Therefore, we will try to wait as long as possible to cancel. Normally not sooner than 1-2 hours before departure.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS  –All of our tours and cruises require a minimum number of passengers to run, which varies depending on which tour or cruise etc.  If we do not meet our minimum, we will notify you no later than an hour before sailing. We recommend checking your email prior to departure. If we cancel due to low capacity, you have the option to receive a full refund or reschedule for another adventure.

CAPE WATER TOURS CANCELLATION –In the event of a cancellation, we would notify our guests no later than 1 hour prior to a scheduled departure. Please review your confirmation email to make sure your email address and phone number (the best phone number to reach you on just prior to scheduled departure) are correct. An unsafe weather cancellation is at the discretion of our Captains. In the case of a cancellation, we will notify you via email first. If we see the email has not been opened, we will follow up with a phone call. If a trip is canceled due to inclement weather, mechanical issues or low ridership, we will issue a full refund.
